2 crazy boys

They were so excited and amped up tonight. It took forever for them to calm down and go to sleep

Running down the hall to brush their teeth. The bathroom is on the left and Hunter's room is on the right. Hunter went in the bathroom and Jacob detoured to Hunter's room to look at the fish.

Getting ready for bed. They love their matching pajamas.

Hunter's signature silly face.

Camping in 2007

We are going camping tomorrow up in the White Mountains for 4 days! We have a 4+ hour car ride so of course we need a dvd player. We had to try it out to make sure it works and the boys loved it. Hunter sat there for 30 minutes and watched his show. Jacob lasted about 10 minutes.

I don't wanna!

How many times a day do I hear that?? Too many to count that is for sure. :) Grandma and Grandpa Lickman came over today to celebrate Ryan and Grandpa's Birthday. They also brought souvenirs from Hawaii. Grandma bought 2 adorable Hawaiian outfits for the boys but they wanted NOTHING to do with them. We just wanted them to try on the outfits so Grandma could get a picture but it was a huge struggle. Hunter kept running away and I was only able to get 1 button done on him. Jacob was a little more cooperative with getting the shirt on but after that he saw Hunter acting up...monkey see, monkey do! We finally were able to get the shirts on but then they wouldn't sit still for a picture. Boys!

Daddy trying to get Hunter to sit still for 5 seconds.
This one was the best we could get!

Hunter the Photographer, Part 2

Yup he got a hold of the camera again today. Here is the first post about Hunter's picture taking skills so you can compare. Now you all can say that you got to see Hunter's early work and you knew him when! He's too funny...just randomly taking pictures of stuff. I told him to take pictures of stuff that looked neat to him...he took a picture of Grandpa Lickman's birthday present. Here are a few samples from tonight.
As soon as he took this one he proclaimed "Look Mommy, the flash!"
His fish that are all still alive.
One mad little boy (notice the neck vein)...this was after Jacob had time out for hitting. Hunter kept taking Jacob's picture knowing it was ticking him off. Was quite funny to me.

We Rock!

That would be a direct quote from Hunter. :) My sayings are starting to rub off on him....yikes! This morning he actually got dressed without a huge struggle or me having to nag him 5 million times. When he was all done I told him how proud I was and I told him that he rocks. :) This afternoon he was standing on the stool in the middle of the kitchen and proclaims, "We Rock!"

I would have to agree...you do rock buddy!

Face and body painters now avaliable!

*Hopefully you can see these pictures now*

One of the boys' newest activities is to "paint" each other with water. It is a very serious game that they get so involved in. Hunter let Jacob paint him for a good 15 minutes and then they switched!

So I've decided that they would be great for parties! Just let us know when you'd like to book the boys and we'll check their schedule. They're nice and cheap too!

I love the last picture....Hunter looks so old in it.

Naked Chef

In my effort to get good toys cheap, I have found yet another kitchen for the boys (this is our 3rd one! lol). The boys love their new kitchen and Hunter couldn't even wait to get dressed to play with it.

What time is it?

Let me start off saying these are Hunter's favorite pajamas (he also has a pair that has fire trucks on them). He asks to wear them at least once a week. They are now too small but that doesn't seem to stop him.

The other day he asked to wear them to bed and I told him that he couldn't. Hunter followed with the favorite question of the year, "Why?"

"It's summer time Honey, you'll be too hot."

"Mommy it's not summer time, it's night time."

Gotta love a 3 year old!

Our little fish

In the past couple of weeks Hunter and Jacob have taken off with swimming. They love it and want to swim by themselves all the time. Hunter is doing SO good...he has learned how to get his head up for air and can swim a couple of strokes. He can usually get to where he wants to go as long as it isn't too far. Jacob wants to be just like Hunter. He just takes off from the steps whether you are ready or not...kinda scary! Here are some pictures from today when we went swimming at Grandma and Grandpa's Funk.

The boys walking along the wall (no jokes about the goggles on me!). Hunter was complaining how he wasn't in front so I told him to swim around us. As soon as Jacob saw Hunter let go of the wall he did too! That kid just sinks to the bottom. I would pick Jacob back up and he'd grab on then let go again...yikes!

Mommy and Hunter "racing" to the steps.
Jacob's first time wearing goggles...he would sit down on the steps so he could see everything under water.
Here goes Jacob ready to swim!

KidsFaire 2007

We went to KidsFaire at the Cardinals Stadium today and got to see some of our favorite friends.

Clifford the Big Red Dog

The Cat in the Hat

This is the first kind of event here that has been totally for kids and it was PACKED. We got there right when it opened and had to wait in line to get in...thankfully we had our tickets beforehand. The kids had fun tho (while the adults went crazy trying to keep track of the kids!) and got to see Barney and Strawberry Shortcake on stage and a glimpse of Dora the Explorer.

Morning Paper

Jacob loves to imitate Ryan. The other morning Jacob thought it was funny to keep stealing my paper and pretending to read. I finally just gave up and let him read.

Warning...saggy diaper alert!

Ok that could be an understatement...we are talking SERIOUS sagging here. It's amazing how much these diapers can hold. Jacob could barely walk but didn't mind at all...he just kept playing.
